Mesotherapy
Is this treatment for me?
Skin aging is caused by genetically determined as well as life-style driven factors. As we age, there are many visual indications such as dryness, laxity, wrinkles and discolouration. Mesotherapy solutions contain “construction” materials, supporting the skin’s structure as well as fuelling our fibroblast cells (our skin cells) to function more efficiently. Again, you guessed it, the functionality of our fibroblasts deteriorates as we age.
Mesotherapy can be used to treat a multitude of areas of the face as well as the neck and décolletage (chest).
Ok, so how does it work?
Mesotherapy is an injectable treatment, implanting a cocktail of hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and nutrients into the skin. Effectively, improving the ecosystem below the skin’s surface.
It is quite literally food for your skin cells and targets a cell called the fibroblast, which is responsible for the production of collagen and elastin. And we could all do with a bit more of those!
What can I expect during my treatment?
There are two techniques used in mesotherapy:
.01
Nappage
This technique targets very superficially for hydration and instant glow. There is no pain with this technique, you may feel a light scratching sensation at points throughout the treatment. A small needle is drawn across the external surface of the skin. The bevel of the needle creates continuous micro injection points covering the whole area evenly.
No downtime, you will leave with radiant, hydrated skin. This technique is great for general rejuvenation and dehydrated skin. The areas treated are the full face, neck and décolletage.
.02
Papular
This technique injects using a tiny Nanosoft® needle at 0.6mm, at regular injection intervals. The injected product creates a tiny “papule” under the skin, visible to the naked eye. This papule will flood your fibroblasts (the skin cells which produce collagen and elastin) with a nutrient rich product and disperse over the course of 24-48 hours, post treatment. The areas treated with this technique become toned and tightened.
Some mild discomfort may be experienced with this technique in delicate areas of the face.
